The origin is this illustration.
Before the apparel brand became "AriZ"...
It all started with an original character I drew.

When I first drew it, it didn't even have a name, nor was there even a series name "TSUNOID." Then, I started turning yagiri and other characters like lucica and onino into apparel designs!

A little while after creating the apparel designs, the series name "TSUNOID" was born, and the logo was created!

Then, at a live event held in Shinjuku on July 8th, we unveiled the prototype images that were still under production for the first time!

It took more than half a year from the time I started drawing the illustration until the prototype was announced. And then another half a year from that point until it could be sold as a garage kit...
A total of about one year has passed, and finally, we can deliver it to everyone.

The most popular character, "YAGIRI -Yagiri-," is now a 3D figure!

Which character from the "TSUNOID" series should be made into a 3D figure? I thought long and hard about it.
"yagiri," "onino," "lucica"...
I was attached to all the characters and wanted to make all of them into 3D figures.

However, "yagiri" was slightly the most popular among them.

My biggest desire is to deliver a 3D work to everyone's hands.
If I were to proceed with all three simultaneously, it would take an immeasurable amount of time. We're talking about two or three years from now...
If that were the case, you wouldn't be able to wait.

That's why we decided to start with "yagiri" for the garage kit.

Are garage kits difficult?

Low number of parts

The number of parts is designed to be easy for even those who have never built a garage kit before. With a total of 29 parts, it has fewer parts compared to other garage kits, making it easy for first-time builders to assemble without much confusion.

Beautiful parts

The parts are so clean that they hardly require any pre-processing.
Since a light pre-processing is done during the mass production process, the steps before painting can be significantly shortened.
Please note that pre-processing is not perfect, so some touch-ups may still be needed.

Meticulously designed details

Clear material horns

Both horns are made of clear material! Using clear material greatly expands the range of expression. Not only with brush painting, but also with airbrushing, you can utilize the clear material by using clear paints.

Detailed expression of nuances

Even the hard-to-express tips are finely sculpted to give them as much character as possible.
Claws and forks are also meticulously detailed.

Patterns like garter designs, which are difficult to achieve with paint, are already sculpted into the model. Even without meticulous masking, the patterns will emerge with just a wash or clear coat, allowing for a more relaxed painting approach!

Sculpted by "Aomi," the sculptor who created the garage kit figures featured as painted examples in "Armor Modeling" March 2023 and September 2023 issues.

Her dynamic, detailed, and realistic sculpting truly resonates, and she has created numerous beautiful female figures.

Q. What should I use to paint it?

A. We use 0color.Brush for painting. When using lacquer paints, we also use 0color.DISH in conjunction.

Q. What kind of paint should I use?

A. Model paints are fine.

Q. I'm new to garage kits, is it okay?

There are small parts, but as long as you take your time and work at your own pace, there should be no problem.
