Lucica, Flower Flower / No. 20 "BF. Lucica Spiral"

The time I was creating this piece was right during Black Friday,

and everything was on sale ✴︎

So the concept was simply "Black Friday."

A direct hit.

This year's BF period, the timing was just perfect.

It coincided with the expansion work of my studio, and I needed to buy a lot of materials.

Thank you, BF!

I even ended up buying some Christmas items too (♩)

While shopping, my eyes wandered

and I ended up putting things I didn't intend to buy into my basket – that feeling.

I turned the "swirling, wandering gaze" into

a golden spiral.

The countless glitters deliberately scattered from the metallic paint

are like scattered choices,

and also like an ever-growing shopping list.

Money goes out, but

the moment "things arrive" is always exciting.

Losing something, gaining something.

I encapsulated that feeling of equivalent exchange into this one piece.
