Rushika, Flower Flower / No. 23 "Berry Candy Christmas"

When clothing originally intended as pajamas is boldly worn as outerwear,

its casualness can come full circle, even appearing formal.

It's a power that stands at the boundary of acceptance, yet blurs that line.

Attracted by such ambiguous power, I translate that sensation into color.

In “Monoverse,”

boundaries that should inherently be separate are intentionally unified through paint.

This time, the shirt, waist, and skirt are covered in the same color,

creating the illusion of a single black dress in its form.

It emerges as a continuous silhouette that doesn't inherently exist.

There, original boundaries are quietly rewritten by color.

The intrigue of applying color to form

lies in its ability to overturn the presuppositions of that form with "color," guiding it to a completely different interpretation.

I shaped this as an expression, recalling the small play of deceptive attire and the Christmas market I recently visited.
